Renovating a house is a complex and, at time, daunting undertaking even for the most experienced homeowners. The decision of what color should the walls; choice of flooring; how do we blend in our existing furniture with the new color scheme; kitchen cabinets, countertop etc. Should we go for a partial or full renovation? What looks and feels are we going for; modern or traditional? Why can’t all that money give us all the luxuries we want? Like many first time homeowners, we were over our heads and had the slightest idea what such a project entails and would take to complete. To make matters worse, my wife’s taste and mine are not exactly the same. While I leaned towards a more modern look, she wanted something along the traditional line.
We contacted Tanie’s Home Staging and Cheley came over to the house for a consultation. Upon arrival she assured us she would find a way to get both my wife’s and my wants included in the design/decor, and she went to work on a plan to complete the renovation of the formal dining, living room, family room, kitchen, and a den/office space. The Tanie’s Home Staging team carefully selected paint color, furniture, accents and art pieces to bring the look together for my Wife and I. From dining rooms to the bathrooms, she made sure our ideas were incorporated but only better. Funny thing is, one of Cheley’s ideas that I was not a fan of on paper, ended up being everybody’s favorite feature in the entire house; a 22feet accent wall. We still get compliments from friends and visitors regarding the wall’s elegance and design.
What we loved even more than the end result is the fact that the entire renovation was done on time and within budget. This of course, allowed us to move in early and forego an entire month of rent.
The old saying happy wife, happy life has never been so true. Thanks to Cheley’s attention to details and a keen eye for what really works. Wife and I just loved the house looks and feels.
We would absolutely recommend Tanie’s Home Staging.
